Still not seeing much if any 13-14 inch notebooks among the design wins.

A couple of those look like small form factor laptops in the 13-14 inch range. I'm no AMD fanboy, just being real about it. I doubt any of the design wins will post better battery life benches or power consumption than haswell but competition is good and hopefully AMD is able to compete in this new market segment as I really like this segment and want it to be competitive. Mobile devices (Laptops/Tablets) are the ones that I actually NEED improvement in. I'm quite happy with my 4770k desktop. When a program can have a massive error eating up CPU usage and you don't even notice because the processor is more than fast enough to keep up still, that's just amazing to me.

Thankfully Beema uses the same socket as Kabini and fits within the same TDP range so we should be seeing the existing smaller laptops getting upgrades fairly soon:

Medion Akoya (10.1")
ASUS F102BA (10.1")
HP Touchsmart 10z (10.1")
Lenovo IdeaPad S215 (11.6")
Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E145 (11.6")
HP Touchsmart 11 (11.6")
Acer Aspire V5-122P (11.6")
Toshiba Satellite Click (13.3")
Samsung ATIV Book Lite (13.3")
Lenovo IdeaPad S415 (14")
Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 14D (14")

At least there is one 13.3 inch listed, a Toshiba, hopefully it is priced reasonably. Also looks like Lenovo will have one or two 14 inch models.

The Click 2 will be using Bay Trail-M, the ATIV Book Lite was updated to Haswell, and Acer recently announced the Aspire V11 and E11 notebooks based on Bay Trail-M.

So much for that...

Good for them, things sure are changing 🙂
AMD with better screns, faster storage and decent graphics appeals to a lot of people
They need OEMs to spice up things to help their sales
