No you dont have to have a approved psu. It just means amd tested it and it will work with there parts.......But remember the amd parts need lots of clean power..
You should be fine however a friend of mine is using a Generic 300w on a 900mhz Thunderbird with no problems,if you want to be 100% safe get a AMD approved PSU,however note the Duron is not power hungry like the Thunderbird when it comes to PSU.
damn, what a nice case As for Power supply...why skimp on it? It could very well be the difference between stability and insanity. Enermax is what I highly recommend.
