Considering HyperTransport is so much more powerful and innovative than 3GIO (what a name) I don't see how their can be a "standards war". Of course, Intel has a rough and long history of trying to control things. Anyone remember when (Barrett?) said "the days of socket processors are over" when the ludicrous 'slot' processor was launched?

Edit: Personally I wish they could just all work toward one good standard......and Hypertransport seems to be much further along so.........
