Wait... bulldozer comes after shanghai. Shanghai is the drop from 65 to 45, right?

So we get a drop in 2H 08...

and we're stuck with that for 2 years?

I think the first step is getting rid of Hector Ruiz. Of course, I also think the only reason they haven't done so, so far, is because they don't have the cash. Most CEO's these days get a roughly $500 million payout, when they're fired.

Ouch, only ~39,000 Barcelonas shipped in Q3 (page 13), and none of those will ever see use, as they can't pass qualification. Also note that the desktop market is still bringing in the most money. I wonder if they still think that Hector's idea to abandon the desktop market 2 years ago (not stop selling, just stop spending money developing for it) was a good idea?:D

Anyone have any idea what S1 and FS1 stands for, on page 22? Also, what is DASH 1.0 and TPM, on page 23?

2 years or so is a typical time frame between process node changes. Intel's "tick tock" strategy is based on changing processes every 2 years (approx).

S1 is the current mobile socket, FS1 is presumably its replacement. TPM is Trusted Platform Module. My best guess for DASH is this, a remote management standard (similar to what Intel has introduced with vPro).
