Trying to help a friend out, he has a Phenom II x2 565BE (which was running x4 @3.85GHz on air, NO voltage adjustments needed), and his current 890FX board died on him
He is looking for a replacement, but, it seems pretty much all 990FX boards that are currently out do NOT support ACC, so, there is no way to unlock the cores on his Phenom II.
Seems ASUS dropped ACC support for their rev 2 boards, and gigabyte did the same as well.

Has anyone with any rev 2 or higher 990FX based board been able to unlock they Phenom IIs?

Gigabyte still offers it on 990FX boards. Look in BIOS under MIT -> Advanced CPU Core Feature -> core unlock.

may also be called CPU core control
