I have just recently purchased, what I beleive to be a A64 939 3.0Ghz 90nm Winchester retail.

I there a way I can check to see if this is correct.

(the company I odered from have a very crappy RMA policy so I don't want to put in my system untill I know exactly what it is)

you mean 3000+? They don't have a 3ghz part yet.. you don't know for sure what you purchased? What are the markings on the chip? You can identify it that way..

Markings are:

ADA30000DIK4BI
CBBHD 0448RPMW
1003279L40133

The reason I posting this was to ensure I have a 90nm part and the the company havn't given me something else instead

I don't want to install it to find out. As mentioned before the company I bought if from are very anual about returns policy.

Example if I ordered a part and find out it was something else to company will say "you will have to keep it 'cos it's now second-hand and we can't exchange it"

It's just software...there is nothing about cpu-z that would void any policy.

If I even open the package (cut the security seal) the company will say second hand.

It's not the warrenty I'm worried about, I just want to make sure I have the right part before opening

Oh - I see. The serial number should look like this:

ADA3000DIK4BI CBBFD 0441SPMW .

The last 8 values show what week it was made, so that might be different.

Thanks for the confirmation - I thought that was the case - I was only 80% sure of that fact
