The 965 is 200 Mhz faster at stock frequencies. I think they both carry C3 steppings though.

They are both Black Editions with unlocked multipliers so that makes no difference to overclockers other than the 200MHz initial difference.

Also probably why only $15 seperates them.

Yeah overclock wise not vary different 965 has a better chance of 4.0 + but both will take 1.5 v-core to get there with good cooling.

Basically, they're the exact same Phenom II X4 Deneb processor, just different stock multipliers for a different stock speed. There is also no evidence the 965 is binned any better than a 955 either, it's just common belief but they're both BE so they should both be top binned.
