Amd 9600 with ECS A780GM-a / 4gb 800mhz ram

Hello Folks,

Just pickup the amd9600 along with the ECS ram and 4gb of ocz800mhz ram. when I ran the cpu-z to check on the cpu speed ,it shows 1150mhz. is this normal?

My multiplier is set at 12@200mhz.

In windows info screen, it shows AMD Phenom 9600 Quad-Core Processor 2.40Ghz.

is that correct or is something wrong with Cpuz that is reading the wrong settings.

Probably the Cool 'n Quiet. Try running a program and you should see the 9600's speed jump up.

Just disable Cool 'n Quiet in the bios and check again.

Thanks guys. I am encoding a video right now and the speed did jump to 2400mhz.
