Remember you only apply a very thin layer of transfer compound - otherwise it will become an "insulator"
Losty,
Temps will vary greatly from motherboard to motherboard and also with ambient temps.
I'm in Hong Kong - last week I was booting up at 27C and using internet etc at about 31C - full loads 46/47C (1.775v)
This week is much warmer I'm booting at say 31C - running at 35C now but temps last night hit 52C (1.800v) after gaming (highest yet)
I also just changed my overclock to 137FSB so I'm now at 7 x 137 = 960Mhz - has improved my sandra membench scores now - I'm getting 563/617
