AMD 8000 chipset vs Nforce3/Via K8T800 Pro?

I was thinking of getting a XPC w/ a A64 3000+. Now i'm thinking of getting a Dual Opteron system. I will be using it mainly for home recording, but I do play EverQuest2, World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy XI a bunch. I'm wondering from a games perspective, how much faster is the Nforce3/K8T800 pro vs the AMD 8000 chipset (if i go opteron)?
