AMD 800 is it good or bad

I just recieved an amd 800 cpu on close inspection I noticed
a chip on the edge of the chip at this time I have no way of testing
the cpu out other than visual, would this cpu be DOA or good?

Well, you won't know until you try it eeh.

But if got a chip send to me in that state i would return it imidiatly 🙂

Test it first and it a'int workin', RMA it.

if its a big chip send it back right now. the problem with testing it is, that if you cant clean all the paste off of it, you might have a hard time RMA cause they will say you did it while applying the heatsink, just my .02

As long as it's a chip along the outside edge and not a CHUNK, it should work. But yes you need to try it, and don't try it with out a heatsink when you do. AMD socket A's burn up real fast.
