amd 7990 temperature

Hi,

I recently installed my amd 7990 and I'm worried about the tempretures it's been hitting, 86 to 94 c under load. I have a corsair 600t case which is cool and all fans are clean.

I noticed when I took the side panel off the tempretures dropped to 74 degress c

Install a fan on the side-panel, if possible. If not... make it possible!

GPU's benefit from a side-panel fan, in-taking air, and the HD 7990 certainly merits it. If your side-panel doesn't have the window/hole in it, then you're left with the modification option. If you need any guidance conducting said modification, I would suggest you to request it under the Cases & Cooling sub-forum.

I think this case has a side panel and an optional mesh panel.

What about replacing the stock fan? Will the mesh panel do the job?

The mesh should be almost as good as open case. The mesh has screw hols to mount a fan. I would put a big 120mm+ fan on it

Which version do you have? Reference or Powercolor 3 slot version?
