AMD 7950HD HDMI HDCP Support

Hi,

I have connected up to my home-theater receiver (HDMI v1.4). Everything is fine except bluray playback. Apparently there is HDCP issue. In the tech specs on the AMD website it's mentions HDCP support via DVI but no mention of HDMI. I want to bitstream the HD audio via HDMI to the receiver. My question can the 7950 videocard handle HDCP via the HDMI port?

Thanks
Haider

Hi,

Nothing funky: -
Catalyst Software Suite ver. 13.1 Windows 8:
Display Driver ver. 9.012
OpenCL(tm) Driver ver. 10.0.1084.4
Catalyst Control Center ver. 2012.1219.1520.27485

Cyber Link PowerDVD 10 latest update. I also used the BD & 3D adviser from Cyber Link. I plugged straight from AMD 7950 to Panasonic tx-p55vt20 plasma. The lead and TV fine as a standalone Denon bluray player can output to the TV and receiver fine (using the same HDMI lead).

Thanks
Haider

Cyber link is giving me hell at the moment as well. Depending on its mood it can't decide if my monitor or my plasma tv is hdcp compliant. Both are new and fully compliant.

Hmmm yes tried on separate monitor and it works. Hmmm have to try again on the plasma. I ran the update again. I think the update didn't fully work last time.
