AMD 7850 Price Drops

Well, AMD announced their new pricing scheme to move more inventory and be competitive with NVidia.

Any idea when we will see the price refelctions from retailers? NewEgg, Amazon, et al have not moved their prices at all.

Personally, I am going to go for a 7850 with 2 Gig to put in my Alienware X51.

I would say give it a week or two. Since all retailers must updated their inventory now and site prices.

Dang, 7850s for ~$200?? Awesome perf/$ and perf/w combined. Competition is good, thank you NV for the 660ti.

Nooooooooo! I bought mine at $239 and I want everyone to pay that price! I want it to be that price forever!

I wanted to wait until NV released their midrange cards but my old CPU just couldn't keep up and games were suffering. Had I waited I might have been able to afford the 7870 rather than the 7850. Oh well, I've definitly been getting moneys worth from my 7850 this past month.

If u can OC your 7850 to 1.2ghz or so, its going to be matching OC 7870. Generally the difference once both are OC to their peak, the difference is not noticable (a few %).
