I have the Asus A7M266 with the AMD northbridge. I am formatting and want to add the latest VIA 4in1 drivers (Hyperion). When I install these, which ones do i install and which ones are not needed?
Thanks

All but the AGP driver as it the northbridge is your AMD chip. Avoid the 4.50 Via drivers, only try 4.49. If it aint' broke, don't change a thing! ;)

Aree. Don't do the 4.50. Actually, I'd go one step back further than the 4.49's as there still have been a few nagging issues.

4.35 is recommended by Via for chipsets earlier than KT400
(definately skip the 4.50's ... they were pulled by Via this week)

But ,,, you have a AMD ... so I dont think it matters... just be sure to skip the NB driver

Oh ... I forgot .. check the AMD website for 761 windows patches also ...
(I used to have a 761 mb)

There is an older, yet extremely thorough article on setting up a system with the A7M266 MB at this location. I would recommend taking the time to read it. I also found this information on AGP drivers for Win200/XP, using the 761 chipset.
