I have noticed that the major Mobo manufacturers have released 760MPX chipset dual MP solutions. I have studied the difference between the MP and the MPX chipset, but now I am wondering about the difference between the mobos themselves. Besides the features, I am aware that Tyan has been putting together MP solutions for the longest, and that Anandtech uses the Thunder series I believe for its database servers. From the consumer standpoint of setting up a game server in a co-location facility, what difference does the lower-end more cost effective platforms offer between the manufacturers? I am concerned about the capacitors on the Tiger 760MPX platform running between the two sockets. The board will be in a 2u server, and we want to ensure that there is sufficient cooling options available. Do I have cause for concern, or would this not be a problem?
