I cant find a review on any mobo based on this old chipsets. Every tech site always reviews high-end motherboards for both AMD and Intel.
The problem is, in my country, even AMD 970 mobos costs more than 120usd, however this 760G boards are @ 60usd, so much difference for budget builds.
How good are they? I cant believe low end hardware is not tested, at least how they run newer CPUs, how performance is affected.

I can't say anything other than my opinion, however it seems to me that in the budget mobo sector people are more worried about how long it will last (at stock settings), rather than any marginal gain in performance by buying one board over another.

I'd say by one with good newegg reviews and you will be fine.

I have a couple 760G boards, they are Biostar. Budget offerings, but good for projects needing stability like home servers.

The 760g is ok for very low end systems. The 760g is based on the A-Link Express II chipsets.
Look for a 880g based board with the 850 south bridge. That will move you to the next gen north bridge, A-Link Express III, and give you the updates of the southbridge as well but a little cheaper than the 900 series.

I just ran 3dmark11 on a 760G with a 7700 and an FX-4100 OCed to 4.4. Got P3956 which seems to be where this system should be.

Me and my bro have 760G mobo. I have MSI 760G-P43(FX) with phenom II X4 965 and he has asus M5a78L-M LX with FX-6300. I can't tell a bad thing about those. You have to live with single PCIe x16, USB2.0 and sata2 3.0. But for that price you can't expect to have best of the bests.
I have only 1 complain and it is lack of asus Q-fan on my msi mobo... CPU fan is wild...

Thanks everyone for the input. The thing I was mainly worried was if modern CPUs works OK on this mobos (for example if turbo core works as intended with this old chipsets).
Ofc the cheap come @ some price, this mobos has fewer features, probably poor OC (I dont care about this), etc.
But reading everyone responses they seem to work OK :)

Just beware putting an FX-series CPU into a 760G AM3+ board. Most of those FX chips are 125 or really 140W, and most of those cheaper 760G AM3+ boards only support 95W.
