I am doing something similar right now. I currently am running two MSI K7T Turbos, one with Raid and one without and am very happy with both. Because I own a small home computer business and want to get some DDR experience, I am planning on purchasing a DDR board in the next couple of days. DDR memory is now about $115 for 256MB and PC133 CAS2 is about $85, so some price difference there. Board is about $30-35 more as well. My current MSI boards are great and rock solid. I have considered the MSI AMD 760 but it doesn't have RAID so it is out. Neither does the Asus. My readings seem to show the Via KT266 chipset pretty much up to the performance levels of the AMD, both seem to eke out the lead over the other in various test reports I have read, pretty much running about neck to neck. The Via includes the newer peripherals chip and bus structure as well. I am pretty well looking at the MSI Via board. Just my thoughts.
