AMD 64

I was wondering what processor you recommended is the best value. I was reading the amd 64 3200 is the best because you can overclock it to a 2.8 just with the normal heat sink. Help me out.

The Socket 939 3200+ seems to be the one to get right now. Or you can save a few bucks and try your luck with a 3000+.

If REALLY trying to save some money go with a socket 754 one.
