Okay you say amd 64 3500 is faster then a P4 3.4? How is that? First of all the clock speed is much higher on the P4? I dont understand how it is faster then. Could someone explain. Thanks.

clock speed is only one component of CPU performance. A64 gets more instructions per clock than P4. In other words, A64 mhz > P4 mhz. This all goes into pipelines.......read this: http://anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/showdoc.aspx?i=1956

A64 also uses an on-die memory controller, which basically reduces greatly the amount of time it takes for the CPU to access memory ............which is great for games. :)

Exactly
AMD and Intel have two differnt arcitectures Intel went for speed and AMD went for efficiency. This means an AMD has to have less clockspeed to get the same result while Intel needs more speed to do the same thing.

yep?! AMD64 is like efficiency on the rocks at lower Ghz while intel is like bursting in Ghz++ to attain the same efficiency as AMD's can attain in lower clock speeds...
