How much of a performance hit will I notice with an HTT speed of 1120 vs 908? I'm asking because I can overclock higher the "fsb" higher when I drop the HTT multiplier from 5 to 4.

I doesn't make a difference really and it's generally a good idea to keep it under 1000. Much after 1000, you're going to encounter stability issues.

Yeah I had mine at 1120 and then I started getting issues with my sound dying. I lowered it to 908 and now that problem is gone.

None, since Hypertransport is independent from the memory bus. Even at 400MHz, HTT can provide all the bandwidth system components and peripherals require.
