Can anyone help with this: I have had my machine up and running for several months now (MSI RS480M2-IL, 3000+, 512MB, 80GB, Antec Aria). A couple of week ago, I installed the Cool 'n' Quiet driver and set the power management to minimum. Now whenever I scroll in Word or Firefox, my computer freezes. I thought this may have been a video issue, so installed all of the current ATI drivers. I also installed the latest v 3.3 BIOS. But it still kept freezing. When I disabled Cool 'n' Quiet by putting the power managment to the "desktop" setting, everything went back to normal and the computer never crashes. (I've also done a complete Windows XP reinstall, and the same things keep happening). Does anybody have any clue why CnQ causes my system to freeze?

I have enabled Cool 'n' Quiet in the BIOS (and ACPI). And yes, I would forget about CnQ, but the noise is what is killing me (and summer still isn' here yet). Did you guys change anything else in the bios (e.g., RAM settings). Thanks.

You don't need the C&Q software for XP the support is integrated. C&Q is basically just PowerNow! on the desktop, and that support is already present in XP. You just need the A64 driver here And BIOS support which you have of course :)

Works fine with my 3000+ on my RS480M2-IL. Just using the AMD drivers and "minimal" power management.
