I'm a big newbie for this.
I have a AMD 64 3400+ , I want to overclock it but I dont know how.
this is my system :
amd 64 3400+
chaintech MB ZNF3-250
I beleive I'm using Nforce 3 250
speeze fan : spec for fan (I know I need a better one)
Socket: AMD Opteron 940 (K8) and Athlon 64 socket 754 (K8)
Dimensions:
- Heat sink: 77×68×40 mm (l × w × h)
- 12VDC Fan: 70×70×15mm
Bearing: Ball Bearing
Rated Speed: 4200 RPM +/-10%
Rated power: 2,88 W
Noise level: 31.8 dBA
Air flow: 30.46 CFM at 4,200 RPM
Current: 0.24 A
Life hours Ball: 50.000
Connector: 3 Pin, mainboard
Thermal Resistance: 0.27 °C/W
1GB ram kingston ( I think is the value pack) pc3200
PNY ultra 5950 G card
450w power supply in a alienware dragon case (chieftec manufactured)not an alienware computer though
I build it myself since I work for Tigerdirect.com
How can I overclock my system to the max?
also when I go to the bios I can change the cpu freq and get the cpu up to 2.456 GHZ but then windows won't start up, the temperature on the cpu is always near the 45 deg, it is good or bad ?
