WE SAID A week or two back that AMD would spring a 3400+ Athlon 64 on a suspecting world for Yuletide, and the first Christmas partridge in a pear tree has made its appearance, as you can see over here.
However, word reaches us that AMD is contemplating a Yule counterstrike with a price drop on the Adlon 64 FX51, we'll find out more if there is more to be found out.
But perhaps more significantly for the US market, Sears is emailing people about a Northgate Athlon 64 system it's selling - see here.
