I don't know anything about amd heatsinks and i need a recommendation for a hs for a system that i will build late this summer. My current setup will look something like this:

AMD Athlon 64 3200+ (newcastle)
Asus K8N-E motherboard

Relying on the fact that asus will get a fix for the overclocking issue about the 220 wall, i need a heatsink that will cool my processor in case i want to overclock. What heatsink should i get? What is popular?

Everything I've heard about the Zalman CNPS7000 has been positive and yes, it, it will fit with your 3200+. Can't go wrong if you go with that :)

I can't belive I'm saying this about a Thermaltake product but the Silent Boost K8 is also a very good A64 heatsink and worth looking into.

I felt the same way till I tried this A64 Venus 12. It is even easier than the stock cooler to mount, has several methods of fan speed control, and is a huge cooler that does a very good job. SVC had a great price on it when I bought too. The silent boost is good, but the Venus 12 is just as quiet on low but with the ability to crank it up to 5600+rpm if need be.

The venus 12 certainly seems to be worth a look. The silent boost k8, zalman 7000a-alcu and venus 12 are among my choices currently.
