Question,

I have the 4870 as my main card, and I only have an old-school PCI slot remaining. Can I use a PCI 8400GS as a CUDA card to run CUDA apps (F@H, BOINC, etc)?

Thanks,

Sponge

Clarification: Running Win7 64-bit RTM

CUDA and stuff aside you need to be running either XP 32bit or Windows 7 for you to successfully run two video cards that use different drivers.

This.

Is the 8400 fast enough to be worthwhile in CUDA applications? 16SP is quite small, IMO. If I were looking at a PCI nVidia card for that i'd be looking at a 9500GT.

Good point,

The 9500GT would be a better choice. Looking for a poor man's Tesla to learn some CUDA programming and to run some Apps.
