Picked one up just now for $149, no mail in rebates!

I think its the most powerful card on the planet for this price .

If there aren't any on the shelf, ask. I just picked one up, and he literally pulled it out of the box that they had just arrived in.

They also had a couple GTX260s for $450.

This is true, just picked one up in Minnesota. They had only 4 in stock but they brought one out of the back for me and the service center woman had to manually enter the 25% discount after I showed her the ad.

Now to buy a CPU, motherboard, RAM, and power supply.

Correct me if I am wrong, but it appears that the only difference (regarding the card itself) between the launch 4850 cards is the sticker.

Nice -- AMD sure knows how to tempt. I can almost picture myself taking a quick drive over to Best Buy and coming back with a pair of these . Luckily, I have better self-control than some people here (*cough* Zap *cough*). Still waiting to see what else crops up.

You have the P182B, are you using the upper drive cage as a fan duct? Two 120mm fans blowing right to the graphics area make a big difference. Even in CF they never spun up in my rig..

holy smokes... I am gonna try to intercept the UPS driver on tuesday when he delivers the 8800GT (160$ - 30$ MIR) to refuse shipment (if you refuse shipment there is no restocking fee, or need to pay for returning the item).
And then I will buy a 4850 instead... or will there be a better deal by them... mmm.

I picked one up. So far the FPS are up in LotRO but there is a fearce stuttering. I only uninstalled the the drivers for my GT. So we will see. I plan on formatting and installing Vista Ultimate tomorrow so we will see if a fresh OS with no previous gfx drivers installed helps.
