I have an Athlon X2 4800+ and I need some help overclocking this baby. The most I could get out of it using ASUS AI overclock was about 2.57Ghz (then it would crash)...which is not a real boost. Could someone please tell me if I need to up the voltages or if there is anything I am doing wrong? I am new to overclocking.
My goal is a stable 2.6Ghz for the very least.

Here's my info:

Windows XP Pro X64 Edition
CPU: Athlon X2 4800+
RAM: Corsair twinx-2048 3500LL pro
MOBO: ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe
CPU COOLER: Zalman CNPS9500 LED

All voltages were set to AUTO using ASUS AI overclock

Case Temperature: 35 C
CPU temp (idle): 37 C
CPU temp (burn): 49 C

Thanks in advance for all of your help

Thanks for your suggestions guys. They're very much appreciated.

Wiith some help from XabanakFanatik, I got this bad boy to a seemingly stable 2.6Ghz.

With an idle temp of 37' C and burn of 51' C

I'm pretty satisfied with 2.6 so I shall stick to this setting.

Thanks again
