Alright this is my current build:

amd 64 X2 4400+
Zalaman CNPS 9500 HSF
eVGA 7800GTX
2x1gig pc3200 DDR400 OCZ/Crosiar ram (still pending which kit)
400 gig HDD + 60gig HDD
Seasonic 600W PSU
Razer DiamondBack Mouse
Antec P180 case
Dell 2005FPW (still pending)
------------------------

What Motherboard to get is the situation:

MSI Neo 4
DFI lan
Asus

----------

I know absolutely nothing about Overclocking.
HOwever, I would like to know the pro's and Cons of DFI/MSI and is ASUS should even be consider in this factor?

I would like to know the difference between DFI and MSI and not the usual, DFI is good overclocking statement.. yes I know that now.
Overall, whats the mobo to go for.

If it helps:

Video Editing, Ripping, Encoding/Decoding, Maya. primary
Gaming Secondary
Than way in the future, I'll consider dual 7800GTX when that costs around 200 bucks.

Which ASUS are you looking at? If it's the Premium board then go for it, if it's anything lesser than that I woudlnt' bother (as they all have loud fans, which I'm not sure you'd like). If I were you I'd go for the DFI because of the overclocking potential, and all the included features and accessories.

arg.. sorry but thats all I keep hearing about DFI.
Why is it a better potential as a overclocker?
what is included, the accesories and features..
this is the info im trying to get but noone ever says it, they just say, "DFI good overclock, you go get now DFI, lot of stuff come with it, why you looking at me like that?"....

sorry, lack of sleep.
