AMD 3500 venice or 3800 venice? YOU make the call!

Trying to decide if I should pop the extra $100 for the 3800 venice or just go with the 3500 venice?

Will I notice a big performance increase with the 3800?
 
Either get a 3000+ Venice and overclock the shiite out of it (see sig) or buy an X2 3800+. At this stage in the game, the Venice is not going to cut it and not worth the money unless you're planning on OC.
 
Yes.

If you're going to overclock, I reccomend the DFI LanParty NF4 Ultra-D. If you're not gonna overclock go for something cheap like the MSI Neo4

I just took your recommendation on cpu.. what other boards are good ? BTW dont plan to over clock...
 
I went ahead and pulled the trigger on a new Asrock 939 and 3800 X2.

You guys are a really bad influence.

I was clean (dry) for the last year or so, and tonight slipped. I feel so dirty...

The higher-end single core A64s are a waste of money.

Exept I got the 3200+ for the extra multi, its whatever floats your boat.
