AMD 3400+ 2.4ghz Temp

Ok. i dont know much about amd 64bit temps and i had put together a 3400+. i got the older version. and i know it runs a little hot. so i want to know just how hot. it says 57c. is that ok? cause what happend when i was taking apart the comp. i was trying to take the heatsink off. but it felt like it was glued to the cpu. i pulled but i diddent pull it off. i figured seince it was attached to it that i wouldent try to pull it off. So i lached it back on. i just wanted to know if the cpu will be fine. i mean from the other people saying that it runs a 56.5-60c is normal for the 3400+ old version. i just wanted to get clearification so i can make shure its all safe. im shure i diddent ruin it. it should be fine. im just a little worried. thank you.

1. I'm getting about 54c on my 3200+ (Newcastle) with stock HSF/thermal tape at full load. I think you're okay as long as you're under 65c.

2. Depending on exactly what happened to your thermal tape when you tried to remove the Heatsink, you may need to reseat it. IF you created bubbles between the CPU and heatsink, then you need to scrape off all the goo from both the heatsink and CPU, and then apply thermal grease and remount them. See Arctic Silver's website for a good guide on how to do this.
