hi everyone,

if i were to get a stick of DDR400 ram and run it with a 333 FSB AMD, BUT use no cpu/mem ratio's... ie. the RAM will run at the same as the cpu (333)... is this considered running the cpu and ram asynchronously? and will this show any type of asynchronously performance reduction issues? thanks.
 
Running the mem and FSB at the same speed, that is using the 1:1 ratio, is synchronous operation. Anything else is Async. Peace.
