I'm upgrading the cooling in my AMD rig and cannot use my current RAM with very tall heatspreaders. To replace it I ordered some AMD branded Patriot RAM, because it was very cheap, but it is rated for 1.65V operation. I know it's not a problem for my current Phenom II, but I intend to upgrade to Vishera when it comes out. I could not find reliable info regarding AMD 32nm processors and RAM compatibility. Now that Llano/Bulldozer/Trinity have been around for a good while, maybe something certain is known about safe RAM voltages? I thought that AMD wouldn't put their name on RAM that was incompatible with their current processors, but I could be wrong.

It's a little bit ridiculous to consider buying 1.65v memory when you can buy 1.50v you KNOW will work long-term for about the same price or even cheaper. Just pick up some decent G.Skill.

I agree with the above, though I would look beyond G.Skill at the usual suspects like Crucial and Samsung.
