AMD 3000+ Stock Heat Sink should I use thermal compound

I just got a AMD 3000+ winchester and using the stock heat sink and fan. I have some thermal compound that I got on ebay about a year ago. I dont know the brand, but it says:

Thermal Conductivity:>7.5W/m-k
Thermal Resistance:<0.06 deg. C-in 2/W
10% Silver

Should I use some in my system? I currect temp is 52 deg at full load.

Its probably not much better than the stock stuff, i personally wouldn't.

But if you do, be sure you completely clean off the stock thermal compound thats on the HSF.
