Unlocked my 2400xp using the pin method.

How do you post a linke here again?

Boots up, posts at 7.0X133X, and then I've got got between 5 and 15 seconds before it shuts itself down. Have to clear CMOS before it'll start again. Any and all help appreciated...

what are yur other system specs ??
ie: motherboard/chipset, psu, vcore, etc
also i have heard a few people say the new Tbreds come unlocked already and some boards can take advantage of this. did you try to change the mult before the mod ?

Lol, sorry :)
Epox 8k5a2+ (seems only the KT400 boards are unlocking the tbreds by default, and only some of the KT333 are getting 13-22x), 350w psu, vcore at default (1.650), 133fsb. Basically havn't changed anything. Ran fine locked at 145fsb @ 15x... Before the mod, only had access to 15-16.5x and nothing else. Anyhow, not currently running, so I'm very sad :(

Undid the pin mod and carefully unlocked CPU the normal, 5th L3, way, and here are my results:
Multipliers:
Auto=7.0 (again)
15=5.5
14=5.0
6.5, 7, 7.5, 8, 8.5, 9, 9.5 all = their respective numbers...

But everything else just shuts down, so no 12.5, 12, etc.

Has anybody had any luck unlocking these chips with this board (Epox 8k5a2+)?

GeneralS, I asked a similar question in a different thread. Someone posted a lot of information concerning the process with lots of links and pictures.

first off - have you reset the cmos somewhere in this ordeal?

second off do you have the 'cpu speed error hold' on by accident in the bios?

thirdly - have you flashed the bios? my abit board had fits until i had flashed to the very latest. i had a bios version that was not very old and was even suppsed to support the tbred, but didn't.... i tried changing the multipler and it would lock...

some ideas...

try those.

Never see any other CPU pins look this sexy. ;)
