My friend just turned on his computer which has an amd 2100 with t-bred type b. In his bios it say the temps are 77 degrees celcius. Is this to hot for the amd 2100 to be at not overcoked running only the bios. Also what is the safe temp range for the amd 2100. thanks alot for your respons.

It depends on the mobo. If the mobo is reading the CPU diode's temp, then that's fine. However, if the mobo has it's own sensor, that is quite high.

check your system (mb) temp, if it's in 40C+ range, then you need better cooling.
If system temp is under 40C, then your cooling fan might not installed correctly or it's not intended for XP 2100

I've got a 2100+ Tbred B too, and my temps are 45-50C. What HSF do you use? Those temps are too high, not enuf to damage...but they are definately higher than they should be.
