AMD 2100+ Tbred "B" temps...

What is the normal operating temperature range for this particular chip @ standard speed? If anyone has this chips could you let me know what you've found? I'm looking for actual experience though, not guesses etc.

Mine is running at 43-50C, depending on the weather, time of day and whether or not I turn on my desklamp (I kid you not! it shines onto the case and has an effect of a couple degrees somehow.)

Thermal Pad? Thermal Paste?

43C isn't bad, could be lower...

How many case fans?

Vantec AeroFlow HSF
Arctic Silver
Only two case fans, stock on my Ahanix Platinum XP, plus the power supply fan of course. I should probably get a new case and/or better fans I suppose.

I'm wondering because I want to do a little Oc'ing, maybe get it up around the 2 GHz mark since the chip is obviously capable of at least that.

What motherboard and what temp monitoring program are you using???

I am oc'd alreay to 2.08ghz with my 2100+ and I idle at 43-44c and load in mid 50's and I use the stock HSF and stock thermal pad with only 2 case fans....

I would think with the vantec fan and AS a bit better temp at idel...i think I was like high 30's at default speed....

I use speedfan and MBM (latest version) on a Shuttle MN31N mobo...

:Q

I have great air flow in my case... I am currently using a Vantec AeroFlow ( which I LOVE )

My temps peak out around 49C sometimes will jump above 50 when the fan in my room is off, couple with the AC up a bit higher and temps in th100's...

🙂

You either have poor ariflow or it may not be seated right, I am using 1.75V and My idle temps are what yours are.

Mine never cracks 35 C. at idle, and never over 40 C. at full load @ at 2250 mhz where it lives for internet and general use. At 2.3 ghz for gaming, it rises 42 C. at full load @ 1.75 v. I have enough airflow for a hovercraft, so these temps are not the norm.

What case are you using? What model fans? How many?

I've tried reseating the heatsink to no avail, so I'm thinking it's my case.

For the windtunnel effect I have a reverse-flow Alpha PAL-8045, ducted to outside the case, driven by a 80mm, 84 CFM Sunon fan with fan controller. I have two 42 CFM generic exhaust fans at the back of the case, and a push-me-pull-you fan setup for the P/S, using two 80 mm, 42 CFM fans. All of this in a Lian Li case.

Grand total for air exiting the case is around +/- 210 CFM at full howl. Now that's entertainment!!!

those temps aren't bad, they could be lower but ohh well
my P4 is at like 47c under load at 2.65ghz and 1.55v

try lowering yur voltage a bit
it will prob hold stable

i got a 1700+ in my gf's comp running at 2000+ speeds with 1.55v
and it's perfectly stable

without stepping info, that temp could be normal. i'd stop worrying about it, its within spec.

nah, not really so much worried as want to be able to keep it under control as I raise the chips speed, if I can get things to cool off a bit somehow raising it will pretty much offset it and equal out nicely.

i'm an oc'ing newbie so i'm trying to be careful about it to start.

i'm using AS3 as thermal paste, on the Tbred 2100+
and SLK 900 HSF,
92mm Panaflo H1A

idle is around 38C - 39C

load is between 41C - 43C

I agree on hot weather.... I get about 45 C to 46 C in the noon when I do gaming..

Im at 2,3ghz with my 2100+ and sk-7 and temps idle depending how cold my room is are usually 38 idle and 43 underload
