My friend bought a mobo/cpu combo at frys the other day and hooked it up. Everything works fine, except the bios and windows both identify it as a 1500+ cpu rather than a 2100+. Anyone know of possible reasons why this could be? I've seen posts about this before but didnt know what the reason behind them was. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Hey, you stole my answer! ;)

BTW, That happens to me when I clear the CMOS. The computer boots up as an AMD "1100+" or something, and I have to reboot and change the FSB to 133MHz (or in my case 166MHz since I'm overclocking) to get it to run at the proper speed.
