AMD 2100+ 0302?

Hottie

Senior member
I can get a hand on a AMD 2100+ 0302, but it is a retail box. Anyway I can find out if it is a TB'b or a?
Also, a 0249WPMW 1700+ 1700LT3C, is it likely to be a b or a?
I think I read it some where is all the TB'b is green, is it ture?

Thx

Just from lookin' at the dates I'd say they are both "B"s , The retail is a month old and the other is from early December so it's a pretty safe bet anyways.

bah! don't listen to him...

DL3TC = Tbred A!!!

don't get the 1700+

no way to tell about the other one though...

most likely going to be a tbred B if it's 0302.... i haven't heard of a tbred A 0302 ..

but the 1700+ is definitely an A

and no not all tbred b's are green.. i have a brown 0302 2100+

My bad indeed EDITED: due to my deserving the smackdown 😉, good catch! I just scanned the 2100+ and then looked at the dates and then assumed you were lookin' at retail vs OEM and shot from the hip that new a fab would be "B"s. 1700+ doesn't come in the "B" flavor which is how he knew, but DL3TC (actually DLT3C) doesn't = Tbred A, it=
Package Type: D=OPGA
L Operating Voltage: L=1.50V, U=1.60V, K=1.65V
T Die Temperature: T=90 Degrees Celsius, V=85 Degrees Celsius
3 Size of L2 Cache: 3=256Kbytes
D Max FSB: C=266MHz, D=333MHz

sure the 1700+ comes in the 'B' flavor. the 'L' voltage ones are 'A' and teh 'U' voltage ones are 'B' so he could tell from those digits.

see this page for some more details.

That's what I get for trusting AMD own docs 😱 Look at the bottom of this page it just shows a t-bred 1700+ as 1.5v, I haven't been playing with the AMDs in a few months so that'll teach me 😉 Thanx for being decent about it too 🙂

Down boy! *cracks whip* back in your cage!😛

Easy boy, I am a real girl from inside out. Now I know why there arn't many girl in AT..🙂
Anyway, in this case is the 2100+ 0302 a save bet? I am currently running a 1700+ @1.73ghz(can't go any higher), and won't like to get is 2100+ if it have a good chance to hit around 2.2ghz.

actually you are the first female that i know of at anandtech lol
and an overclocker at that!

w00t!
haha

id say 2100+ is a safe bet of it being a tbred b
especially with that date
i believe amd stopped production of all tbred a's quite a while ago...and that is a fairly new week so my abstract logic tells me its a tbred b lol

coz I know a small CPU wholesales, and I can only choose what he have on hand. I don't really care about the retail HSF as I make my own one.

Hottie...

It's all luck of the draw basically.

I run a green 0302 2100+ "B" model

on air (AX-7) at 2350 Mhz stable. But

everyone's MMV. Other factors involved.

Go on with your badself on the retail box

unit. Warranty is longer that way.

Pops.
