I will be starting to build this outfit next week and would appreciate any helpful pointers as to the best settings.
The cpu will be cooled via a Coolermaster X Dream HAC-V81 which has variable rpm adjustment.
The board will do 133/266/333 fsb.
Not yet sure what memory would be most useful.
Is it worth unlocking the chip and if so , what are the likely increases ?

I would suggest u pay a couple more $$ & get the XP2200+. It's unlock. And w/ the A7N8X, u can change any multiplier tht u want. It save u the hassle of unlocking ur CPU (althou it's not difficult to unlock).

RAM...Crucial, Mushkin, Corsair...r all good brand. PC2700 onwards.

If u buy XP2000+, u can expect a general O/C to around 1.9GHz.

Wish I had known about the 2200 being already unlocked.
As I am expecting delivery today .......Mon 20th ......its a bit late to upgrade to the 2200.
The plan is to get the system up and running and proceed to the 2800 and upwards when
they drop in price.......hence the more upgradeable motherboard.
