put together the computer yesterday, and noticed that my CPU is running at 1250mhz instead of 1670mhz. I have a AMD 2000xp+ cpu on a MSI KT3 Ultra mobo.

please help me, im so confused...

you're only running on a 100 MHz bus....switch the jumper on the mainboard that tells it to run at the 133 MHz bus as opposed to the 100 MHz bus

then, you'll be cookin

I just set this board up last night with an XP 1800+. You need to change the FSB in the BIOS to the 133mhz. The default FSB is 100mhz. I don't think there is a jumper on the board to adjust FSB.

Go to amdmb.com and find the MSI forums. Lots of good tips for setting up the KT3 Ultra.

12.5 x 100fsb = 1250Mhz
12.5 x 133fsb = 1662.5Mhz

Change your fsb from 100 to 133 either by a jumper or through the soft code in the bios.
