AMD 1800XP+ will only run @ 100FSB???

Hi,
thanks for looking at this

I has a AMD 1800XP+ on a MSI K7t266 Pro2 MOB that will only run at 100MHZ FSB
I have tryed swopping every part but the CPU
can something be wrong with the CPU I thought that CPU's work or they don't work
can anyone help me with some info

Many motherboards STILL have a jumper on the board that selects 133MHz FSB. Look for a jumper if the BIOS is indeed set for 133MHz FSB already Amber.
 
Yes, definitely check the jumper on the motherboard. Try both 100FSB and 133FSB jumper settings since the motherboard manual sometimes describes the setting in a reverse (opposite) order. The manual that came with my old KT133A board incorrectly descibed the jumper setting, and I had to look at the motherboard very closely with a flashlight to determine the correct setting.
 
as they said, set to 133 in bios
if it wont work still, look for a jumper on board (or in manual) and change that around

....damn mobo manufacturers lol...i see no point in the 100fsb all the freaking time jumper haha
