AMD 1700+ Cheap but Reliable HSF >> recommendations ?

Runnin' Antec 300W in 830SX Case... Also , would Artic Silver be effective with a inexpensive Heatsink/Fan? or should I just use regular Thermal Compound that I have bought from RadioShack.

Hey look at this place here for some good HSF. SVC

I would recommend the thermal integration hsf for a great performance heatsink at a decent price, and get some artic alumina too if you want.

If you are just using a crappy heatsink there is no reason to use artic sliver on it.

i have a brand new volcano 2 i will sell ya for cheap. its got a fairly quiet 5000 rpm fan(dual ball bearing)

Vantec FCE-6030D offers 0.58 centigrade/watt performance (Alpha levels) and costs between $20-$30. I'd say that's a good choice. It comes with thermal grease pre-applied, too (not tape).
