NEW YORK (AP) — AMC has flourished with its lineup of feature films and original dramas like "Mad Men" and "The Walking Dead." Now the network is expanding into unscripted series with a show that tells the inside story of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Because scripted shows are expensive. Showing people the lives they already live on the other hand is dirt cheap. Soon there will be 7 billion channels showing reality TV 24/7 while no one has the funding to make a scripted show.

It's because people watch them. I hate reality shows and don't watch any of them because they're destroying tv. What I really love is the people that watch reality shows complain about people getting famous off them.

When the writers went on strike, all they did was prove how unnecessary they are. People will watch any crap you throw at them, as long as it's not too smart.

I think they should do a reality show on the TSA. It would be on the Playboy Channel.
