the ambient temp reported by rivatuner is idle 40-42, this is a bit higher than it was before my new case, I just got the thermaltake xaser3 it has 7 fans and my old case was crap and only had 2 fans and now the temps are higher. I have the evga 6800gt,
also are there any ideahs for fan placement in this case? right now I have the 2 side fans set as exaust and the two rear fans set as exaust and the 2 front fans set as intake, and the fan on the top as an exaust, does this seem right or odd. post some thought huh guys...please.
 
You don't have much balance of pressure, much more in than out.
Maybe change one or both side fans to intakes? I'm not sure that much negative pressure is so good.
