Amazon's super saver shipping

Amazon, a while back, was really good on shipping. Now, it seems that they take 3+ days alone to process it, and then however long it takes for the item to actually be shipped (often for me its been 5+ days as it comes from the other side of the coast)

Thats my experience, but YMMV.

I ordered a DVD player from amazon 2 weeks ago and it came pretty quick. I ordered it on a thursday and it came to my door by tuesday. I couldn't believe it was that super saver shipping.

However I also ordered something else along with the DVD player and It still hasn't arrived yet and it was sent through Airborne Express... I've been tracking it and some strange events happened. It arrived in my city yesterday and said it was out for delivery. Then 2 hours after I last checked it they said it was delivered at USPS. I thought they'd drop it off at my house by today but it hasn't come yet... WTF!?

Look at the info for free super saver shipping. It states that it takes longer then normal ground shipping.

Select Super Saver Shipping as your shipping speed. Note that order will take an additional 3 to 5 days to ship.

Oops, didnt mean free shipping.

Yea I know that but was it added recently or not? I remember ordering from Amazon before and super saver was really quick, as fast as ground. I checked Buy.com and their free shipping doesn't have a 3 to 5 day processing time.

Nope it has always been there.

if you dont upgrade shipping, it seems that processing takes a good few days, at least 2-3, i ordered a cell phone saturday though and i got it today, but i had to upgrade shipping to do so. oh well
