I've used it twice now and its not bad. I'd rather not have to use their downloader, but it works.

One thing I did notice that I don't like so much is that some CDs have songs that you can't download individually. you have to purchase the whole album to get the song.

i usually want the whole album, but if i ran across a song I liked and didn't care about the rest, it would suck to have to buy the rest to get that one.

you don't have to use their downloader. it gives you the option of just downloading during checkout. its not very clear, but its there.

You have to use their downloader to download whole albums, but for individual tracks you can just download within the browser.

I think this is something that's up to the label and artist, unfortunately Amazon probably doesn't have much say in the matter, it's either offer it as an entire album or you don't get to sell it. Radiohead, for example, had their music removed from the iTunes store, probably because Apple told them to eff off when asked to offer them only as full album downloads. It appears Amazon is more willing to work with artists on this issue, though.

i thought they were taken down?
also, didn't they stop taking credit cards or maybe the credit card companies don't allow you to use your card there?
