Nice! Looks like Amazon is upping the game. I purchased TW2 from Amazon and their service is very simple and easy. It is exactly like purchasing from GoG.. the only downside I see is that the games are not patched up-to-date.

I grabbed Red Faction - Armageddon. I read some pretty bad reviews for it, but I actually enjoyed Guerrilla quite a bit so for $5 I figured i'd give it a chance.

I picked up The Heist, I'll have my brother get a copy too and it'll be worth the $5 coop gameplay it'll offer I hope.

Yeah I picked up Red Faction Armageddon too. I've been waiting for it to get cheap, and $5 is about as good as it gets.

Payday: The Heist is STRONGLY recommended for $5 as well. If the idea of an "Co-op FPS bank robbery" game appeals to you, then you owe it to yourself to try it. :) Think L4D but with more strategy and smarter enemies.

Great deals, was thinking about picking up TW2, I really didn't like the first one though.

Can anyone tell me if combat is the same? I hated that stance dance bullshit.

Yea, same here. I am considering TW2. I got part way into the first game and havent played it for a while. I agree about the combat stance thing. I whaled away at an enemy seemingly forever and did no damage, but simply by changing the stance I killed him easily.
What the ????.

That is exactly what I hated about the game, it didn't feel innovative or fun at all, also, I never got past the first chapter or act or whatever, cause that starter town was fuck boring.

The combat has been revamped. I am not sure if it has improved or not, but it is pretty different to the first one.

Well, I will likely end up holding off, I just bought DE:HR and SS3 from Steam, so they get my money for now :p

Maybe come Spring Break sale TW2 will be cheaper and on steam

I understand how you felt, I played TW1 and gave up in act 2.

That said, the Witcher 2 is freakin' amazing. The story is mature and complicated. Choices you made actually matter. The graphic is absolutely gorgeous. Combat is much much better although at some points (QTE type combat) it could be annoying.
I'd recommend playing at normal difficulty.
The way it is right now, the difficulty is kinda inverted. Its very hard in the beginning and gets easier as you level up and gain more and more skills. The first hour could be very frustrating unless you train yourself in the Arena repeatedly before hand.

All in all, I'd definitely recommend it for 15 bucks.

Combat in TW2 is completely different from TW1. I really enjoyed it.

This game is a steal for 15 bucks.
