FYI, this is a 1st generation Touch, not the 2nd. There are some differences between two generations of Touch.

yeah, i bought the first gen for the reason that all the previously made docking stations/accessories that feature charging will NOT work on 2nd gens. the 2nd gens have the same plugs and will still work for listening to music, but the charging has been moved to other pins on the connector or something like that.

2nd get has faster cpu, more battery, external volume controls, a built in speaker, and is thinner.

I definitely prefer the 2G over the 1G but at this price it's hard to give up that storage for the features.

Also, it seems 1st gen is hackable, but 2n gen is not. Any updates? If I decide that i do not want, I will just sell it craigslist for what I bought it for.
