I've been looking for a rice cooker for a while now, and I've finally decided upon this one. Good thing I waited because Amazon added a 10 dollar rebate.
I chose this one in particular because you can cook down to 1 cup of rice at a time...most rice cookers are higher capacity and require at least 2 cups of rice to be cooked at a time. Second, Zojirushi is supposed to be a high quality maker of rice cookers, and I'd expect this thing to last a long time. Third, it is getting good reviews. Lastly, the price has gone down to a more affordable, justifiable $59.99 AR.
Zojirushi PC10 rice cooker
Supposedly a good alternative to the Zojirushi if you want to avoid rebates and want a higher capacity cooker is the Panasonic SR-SH15PS Rice Cooker/Steamer.
Panasonic rice cooker
I've seen the panasonic at linen's and things for the same price, so you can pick it up locally if you are willing to pay tax.
EDIT: I forgot you also get a $10 Promo certificate for future use if ou buy $50 worth of stuff from their kitchen and housewares store.
